The "Family Farm" Liability and Property

The "Family Farm" Liability and Property
Tuesday, August 26, 2025 (10:00 AM - 4:30 PM) (EDT)
Description
This webinar begins at 10:00 am. Each session is 3 hours in length with a half hour break in between.
The family farmer is incredibly dependent on their farm property, whether personal or business in nature. A review of the very important tenants of risk management will be followed by an examination of the farm property coverage forms and endorsements available for financing these uncertainties. Participants will be reminded of the important role they play in their clients’ risk management pursuits.
2 Sessions will be presented: Farm Liability as Part 1 and Farm Property as Part 2.
Farm Liability Part 1 will focus on personal liability exposures and the endorsements that can be used to protect both the farming and personal risk of the family farmer. When might BOTH coverage forms be the best option? This discussion will remind participants that, even though a family farm presents commercial risk, the individuals associated with the farm are people – and people have personal risk.
Farm Property Part 2 will continue and introduce property exposures common to the family farmer and review strategies in pursuit of effective insurance coverage for these risks.
